ADR Answerbank

Welcome to the CJC ADR Answerbank

This website has been designed to provide information about key developments relating to ADR, as well as give you the chance to ask us about what is happening.

ADR – alternative dispute resolution – is a key element in the reforms to the civil justice system introduced in 1999. The Civil Justice Council has, from the start of its work, had an ADR Committee. It took the view that, given all the other changes to civil justice that were occurring, the contribution that ADR would make to these developments would emerge more slowly. The Council now thinks that ADR now deserves a higher priority. It has put these pages together as a resource for all those interested in ADR and its contribution to the civil justice system.

Please let us know what you think about these pages, and send us ideas of ways in they can be made even more useful.
